Windows 11 has some peculiarities that users may find annoying or frustrating. Here are some tips to help you fix some of the most common ones:

  1. Taskbar not hiding: If your taskbar is not hiding when you're in full-screen mode, right-click on an empty space on the taskbar and select "Taskbar settings". Turn on the "Automatically hide the taskbar in desktop mode" and "Automatically hide the taskbar in tablet mode" toggles.
  2. Start menu not working: If the Start menu is not working, try restarting your computer or signing out and signing back in. If that doesn't work, press "Ctrl + Shift + Esc" to open Task Manager and select "Windows Explorer" from the list of running processes. Right-click on it and select "Restart".
  3. File Explorer crashes: If File Explorer is crashing frequently, try resetting it by going to "Settings" > "Apps" > "Apps & features" > "Microsoft Windows File Explorer" > "Advanced options" > "Reset".
  4. Wi-Fi issues: If you're experiencing Wi-Fi issues, try restarting your router/modem, updating your network drivers, or forgetting and reconnecting to the Wi-Fi network.
  5. Battery draining quickly: If your battery is draining quickly, make sure all your apps and programs are updated. You can also go to "Settings" > "System" > "Battery" to see what apps are consuming the most power and adjust settings accordingly.
  6. Incompatible apps: If some of your apps are not working properly on Windows 11, try running them in compatibility mode by right-clicking on the app's icon and selecting "Properties" > "Compatibility" > "Run compatibility troubleshooter".
  7. Blue screen of death: If you encounter a blue screen of death, try running the built-in system file checker by pressing "Win + X" and selecting "Windows PowerShell (Admin)". Then type "sfc /scannow" and press Enter. This will scan and repair any corrupted system files.

These are some of the common peculiarities of Windows 11 and some tips to fix them. However, if you encounter more serious issues, it's recommended to seek professional help or contact Microsoft support.
