If the microphone is not working in Windows 11, here are some possible solutions to fix the problem:

  1. Check microphone settings: Go to "Settings" > "System" > "Sound" > "Device Properties" and make sure the correct microphone is selected as the input device. You can also adjust the volume levels from this page.
  2. Update audio drivers: Go to "Device Manager" and expand the "Sound, video and game controllers" category. Right-click on the audio device and select "Update driver". If an update is available, Windows will download and install it.
  3. Check microphone hardware: Make sure that the microphone is properly plugged in if it's an external device. Try plugging it into a different port and see if it works. If it's an internal microphone, check if it's properly connected to the motherboard.
  4. Restart Windows Audio service: Press "Win + R" to open the Run dialog box and type "services.msc". Find the "Windows Audio" service, right-click on it and select "Restart". This will restart the audio service and may fix the microphone problem.
  5. Run troubleshooter: Go to "Settings" > "System" > "Sound" and click on "Troubleshoot". Follow the prompts to diagnose and fix any issues with the microphone.
  6. Scan for malware: Sometimes, malware infections can cause issues with the microphone. Run a malware scan using your preferred antivirus software and quarantine any malicious files found.

If none of these solutions work, it's possible that the microphone itself is faulty and needs to be replaced.
